Privacy Policy

Delivery Boss ("the App") is built to keep your data on your device. This policy describes what is stored locally, what is sent off-device, and when.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

The following are stored only on your device using SharedPreferences and are not automatically uploaded: your driver name, theme, language and accent color, selected platforms, favorites, recent messages, custom messages, route history, earnings entries, and subscription tier.

2. Optional Features That Send Data Off-Device

Some features require contacting external servers. Each runs only when you choose to use it.

AI message generation and enhancement. When you tap "Generate with AI" or "Enhance with AI," the text of your message (which may include any names or details you have entered) is sent to our server (api.deliveryboss.app) for processing by a third-party AI provider. The text is not retained after the response is returned.

Receipt and earnings image import. When you import a receipt or earnings report image, the image is uploaded to our server (api.deliveryboss.app) for processing. The image is not retained after your session.

Route planning. When you optimize a multi-stop route, the addresses you enter are sent to Nominatim (operated by the OpenStreetMap Foundation) to look up coordinates, and the resulting coordinates are sent to OpenRouteService (operated by HeiGIT) to calculate the route. We do not control the privacy practices of these third parties; their own policies apply to data they receive.

Subscription verification. When you make an in-app purchase, the App sends your platform receipt token, transaction identifier, subscription tier, and a device identifier to our server (iap.deliveryboss.app) to verify that the purchase is valid. We store a record of verified purchases, including the transaction identifier, subscription tier, purchase and expiry dates, and device identifier, in a database on our server to manage your subscription status and detect refunds or expirations. We do not receive or store your payment card information, billing address, or other financial details. Those are handled entirely by Apple or Google.

Device identifier. To associate subscription purchases with your device, the App collects a platform-provided device identifier: identifierForVendor on iOS (resets when you uninstall) or Android ID on Android. This identifier is sent to our server only during subscription verification and is stored alongside your purchase record. It is not used for advertising, cross-app tracking, or user profiling beyond subscription management.

3. No Analytics, Tracking, or Advertising

The App contains no analytics SDKs, no tracking pixels, no crash reporters, and no advertising networks. We do not build advertising or behavioral profiles. The only personal data stored on our servers is the subscription verification record described above. We do not sell any data.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Purchase verification records are stored on a server located in Germany (EU) operated by Hetzner Online GmbH. All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Purchase records are retained while your subscription is active and for one year after expiration, then deleted. You may request early deletion of your records at any time by contacting support@deliveryboss.app.

5. Your Rights

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): the right to access your data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict processing, receive your data in a portable format, and object to processing. Our legal basis for processing purchase verification data is performance of the subscription contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for their use.

7. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in future App updates and on this page.
